Assalamualaikum wr wb,
Dear Sir,
I am an English teacher from Internat Al Kausar Islamic Boarding School. I would like to ask some questions in relation with debate competition.
1. How to register my students? I have registered already before 20 May, but there is one student who resigned from the competition.
2. Could you tell me the specific topic for each field for junior high school students?
3. If there is no other participants joining the competition beside us (English debate participants), would it be canceled? In fact some of my students have already booked the ticket.
Pleased to hear from your side very soon.
Best Regards,
Yulisna
One more question please,
who is going to fetch us in the air port? Is there anyone who in charge for this matter? Because we don't know the competition place, some of my students' parents have already booked the Hotel in Royal, Malaysia.
Thank you very much for your attention.
Best regards,
Yulisna

Assalamualaikum wr wb,
Dear Sirs,
I have written down my moments in the blog yesterday. Thank you for your answers. Following are the details for the student who is replacing Faisal A. Hakim :
Name : Fadia Riandra Putra
Passport No : R 996160
Sex : Male
Date of Birth : 18 august, 1995
Date issue : 7 July, 2008
Date of expiry : 7 July, 2013
Place of issue : Sukabumi, Indonesia
Hotel reservation was made by Heikal's father under name of Dr. Dadang. The other families have not made the reservation yet.
We, the teachers, students and especially the parents are starting to get rather worried and impatient about the whole arrangement. Parents are calling me nearly everyday. They do not want to make flight and hotel arrangement if we do not get the answers to the following questions (I had already asked them some time ago)
1. Where is the competition going to be held?
2. What are the topics for the Junior High School students? Can they choose a topic or will it be assigned to them? We have to know this so that the students can prepare themselves.
3. Who are the other competitors for English debate?
We are afraid that our students are loosing interest, so we would appreciate to have your answers as soon as possible.
Thank you and best regards,
Yulisna

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.
To Yulisna,
I'm the english trainer from Sekolah Menengah Islam Hidayah.
About your query on the topics for the debate..
The topics will be given 30 minutes before the debate begin. Then they have to prepare in that given time. However, the scope of the topics will be about current issues and evergreen motions.
For example, This House Believes That economy is more important than environment or This House Believes That parent should be held legally liable for the crimes of their children.
Basically the students have to do research by now so that they could easily prepare in the allocated 30 minutes.
About your query on the competitors for English debate, Insyallah there will be 20 teams participating in this category.
If you have any other questions just write it here, we are willing to help as we are looking forward for participation from indonesia, singapore, brunei and also thailand.
Thank you
Muhammad Saiful Islam

Dear Saiful Islam,
Assalamu'alaikum,
As I understand it, the motions for the English debate will only be drawn half an hour before the debate starts, does this mean that the motions are going to be simpler than the motions for the Malay debate?Tq
